Animals & Nature Trivia Questions and Answers

Species, habitats, behaviour and the collective nouns that sound made up and are not. Questions cover the extremes people enjoy — fastest, largest, deepest, longest-lived — alongside the ordinary biology that turns out to be stranger: what an animal actually eats, how long it really sleeps, which familiar creature is not related to the thing it is named after. It is the most family-friendly topic here and the easiest to play with children at the table. The hard tier goes to taxonomy and to the marine life that most people have simply never had cause to learn.

How to play these as a game

Trivia Tavern runs these as a live round: one person opens a room, everyone else joins with a five-character code, and answers are locked in on each player’s own phone with a clock running. Faster correct answers score more, and a match draws from the full animals & nature pool — around two hundred questions, of which the 39 above are a sample.

Two to eight players, about fifteen minutes for three rounds, and nobody needs to make an account to sit down.
