The Oscars Trivia Questions and Answers
Best Picture, the acting categories, and the ceremonies people remember for reasons the Academy would rather they did not. These questions are about the films and the arguments rather than the statuette: the years the wrong film won, the performances that were snubbed, the records for nominations without a win. The envelope mix-up gets its due. The hard tier goes to the technical categories and to the long gaps — actors who waited decades, directors who never won at all — which is where a table that follows films casually starts guessing and a table that follows them closely pulls away.

How to play these as a game
Trivia Tavern runs these as a live round: one person opens a room, everyone else joins with a five-character code, and answers are locked in on each player’s own phone with a clock running. Faster correct answers score more, and a match draws from the full the oscars pool — around two hundred questions, of which the 39 above are a sample.
Two to eight players, about fifteen minutes for three rounds, and nobody needs to make an account to sit down.
