About Boardit

Boardit is a free website for playing board games with other people in a browser. One person opens a table, shares a short code, and everyone else sits down from their own phone or computer. There is nothing to download, and guests do not need an account.

Who runs it

Boardit is built and run by an independent developer. It began in August 2026 and is not part of a studio, a publisher or a larger company. The rules engines, the room system and the writing on these pages are made for this site.

The games

There are 5 games, and every one of them uses the same room, the same seats and the same chat.

Property Rush is an original property-trading game. It is not Monopoly and Boardit is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro. Each game page has the full rules, and the trivia topics list what Trivia Tavern asks about.

How a table works

The host picks a game and gets a five-character room code. Anyone with that code can take a seat, so it is shared with the people you want at the table and nobody else. A host can also list a table publicly so strangers on the site can join. When everyone is seated, the host starts the game and each player sees their own view in real time.

Boardit has no voice or video of its own. Groups who are apart usually keep their normal call open beside the game, which is what the video call page is about.

What it does not do

Room codes are treated as passwords. They are removed from every address before it reaches analytics, and room pages are kept out of search engines. Screen recording, heatmaps and automatic click tracking are switched off. A guest who stops playing is deleted after 24 hours without activity. The privacy policy lists exactly what is stored.

How it is paid for

Playing is free and there is nothing to buy. The site may show Google ads on its public pages, such as game guides and articles, to cover hosting. Ads never load inside a room or at a game table.
